MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT OF HL7 PHILIPPINES

Dear HL7 Philippines Community,

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits during these summer months. I am delighted to share some exciting news with all of you.

After careful consideration and assessment of the prevailing public health conditions, it is my pleasure to announce that the inaugural HL7 Philippines Summit will be held in August 25-26, 2023. This significant event will serve as a pivotal milestone in our journey towards advancing health informatics standards and interoperability in the Philippines.

We understand that these times present unique challenges and that conferences have undergone transformations. However, I assure you that we are committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees. As such, we will implement necessary measures to ensure the well-being of our participants.

To prioritize the health and safety of everyone, we will require all attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Additionally, masks will be highly recommended in all indoor public areas, excluding eating/drinking or presenting. Rest assured, our team will consist of fully vaccinated individuals to provide you with peace of mind throughout the summit.

For those who are unable to attend in person due to personal circumstances or medical reasons, we understand your concerns. Therefore, we will offer a limited amount of live streaming content from the event, including the opening and closing keynotes, along with specially curated sessions. This way, you can still witness this extraordinary gathering and gain valuable insights from industry experts.

The summit will take place at Seda Vertis North Hotel in Quezon City. We are fortunate to hold this event this year to allow us to host numerous networking opportunities. We have meticulously planned this summit to ensure it is a safe and memorable experience for all. We eagerly anticipate establishing connections, fostering collaboration, and empowering innovation within our HL7 Philippines community. Registration details will be shared in the upcoming weeks.

I cannot contain my excitement as I eagerly look forward to welcoming each and every one of you to the 1st HL7 Philippines Summit this August. Let us come together to shape the future of interoperable health information systems in the Philippines.

This summit will bring together experts from the government, private sector, and academic institutions to share their experiences, insights, and best practices in HL7 implementation, standards, and interoperability. Our program agenda is designed to cover a wide range of topics, including the role of HL7 in healthcare innovation, touching on the future of digital health in the Philippines, as well as the challenges and opportunities in HL7 adoption and interoperability in Southeast Asia.

In addition to our keynote speeches, speaker sessions, and panel discussions, we will also be providing networking opportunities throughout the event, allowing attendees to connect with their peers, share their experiences, and build new partnerships.

We hope that this summit will be a valuable platform for healthcare professionals, IT specialists, policymakers, and industry leaders to exchange ideas, collaborate, and drive progress in health informatics and interoperability.
